Street Food Project
As part of its strategic vision and ambitious efforts to revitalize the heart of the capital and its historic center, the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) launched the Al-Zal “Street Food Project”, which was opened in 1447 AH (2026), to offer a vibrant destination that enriches the visitor experience within the historic Qasr Al Hukm district.

Spanning approximately 10,000 square meters, the project features fully shaded walkways and outdoor cooling systems to ensure a comfortable environment for visitors throughout the year. Developed in partnership with the private sector, it serves as a tourism, cultural, and commercial destination that helps revive the historic area’s social fabric while offering an engaging experience for visitors to enjoy a diverse selection of local and international cuisine.

Vision and Objectives
The Street Food Project was developed to help enhance the capital’s appeal while expanding entertainment offerings and enriching social and cultural experiences, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. Beyond its role as a dining destination, the project serves as a platform that reflects Riyadh’s cultural identity and creates an urban space where local authenticity meets global openness. In doing so, it reinforces Riyadh’s position as a vibrant global capital that celebrates diversity and offers a high quality of life for both residents and visitors.
A Contemporary experience
The project introduces a contemporary concept for food and beverage experiences in public spaces, centered on the live cooking experience. Visitors can watch skilled chefs prepare dishes in open-air markets and plazas, creating an engaging visual and sensory dining experience.
At this destination, exceptional dining is complemented by live cultural and entertainment experiences, offering a wide variety of choices that showcase the richness of Saudi cuisine alongside the diversity of international flavors. All offerings are delivered with the highest standards of quality, efficient service, and simple, appealing presentation.

Upon completion, the project will feature more than 80 commercial outlets offering a diverse range of dining options. The first phase launched with 45 outlets introducing innovative culinary concepts that cater to a wide variety of tastes. Here, dining becomes a journey of discovery, where the stories of passionate chefs and culinary entrepreneurs intertwine with those of visitors. In this vibrant setting, flavor and memory come together to create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects a strong sense of community and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring an experience that feels fresh with every visit.

It highlights the heritage of Saudi cuisine through various concepts offered by several restaurants, including “Al Erth Al Najdi,” “Bayt Al Kibdah,” “Hamsah Hijaziah,” “Hikayat Ghadi,” “Long Ago,” “Al Furtajiah,” “Tikka 10,” “Dokan Balilah,” “Macaronat Jadati,” and “Motabaq Yazeed.”

It takes visitors on a journey around the world through options including “Tuwaiq Burger,” “Danial Fries,” “Ette,” “Bollywood Spice,” “Noodomi,” “Pizzeria Basilico,” “Al Tacos,” “Shobbak 6,” “Philly Jawn,” “Qarmashah,” “Longo Fries,” “Darsh,” and “Hala Pasta.”

It offers the fresh flavors of Mediterranean cuisine through several restaurants including “Assembly,” “Rare Grill,” “Rare Mashawi,” “Shawarma Habkah,” and “Roqaq Al Hawi.”

Rich experiences provided by a group of stores, most notably “Simsim Luqaimat,” “Elegant Moments,” “Burkan,” “Hanini,” “Flan,” “Crepes Des Alpes,” and “Krem.”

The Street Food experience is complemented by cafés and beverage outlets, which include “Meaning of Juices,” “Green Garden,” “Chai Mohabaq,” “Azwa,” “Lobisc,” and “Nafezat Al Qahwah.”

The project is connected to the public transport network, located just a 3-minute walk from Qasr Al Hukm Metro Station within the Riyadh Metro network.
