Remarkable conclusion of Eid Al-Fitr festivities at Qasr Al-Hukm Plazas
On Thursday evening (June 06, 2019), Eid Al-Fitr festivities, organized by the Riyadh Development Authority (RDA) at Qasr Al-Hukm plazas, concluded amidst outstanding presence by the residents and visitors of Riyadh.
The celebrations’ program this year was comprehensive and featured many family-friendly activities and shows.
The activities that brought back the ancient Eid traditions and folklore had great interaction from the attendees, particularly the henna art platforms and the “Huwamah” activity, which were warmly welcomed. The “Huwamah” activity is inspired by an old Eid tradition, where a group of children used to roam the neighbors’ homes to receive the Eidia (a gift that is usually given to by elder relatives, family friends and neighbors as part of the celebration of the two Muslim holidays, Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha).
As usual, Al-Thumairi Street (Al-Thumairi Avenue) was the center of attention during the Eid days thanks to the live shows, food trucks and mobile cafes that brought carnival atmosphere therein.
Likewise, the children’s entertainment and educational activities in Al-Masmak Plaza concluded amidst remarkable interaction form the audience.
