RCRC and Emirate of Riyadh Province Open Qasr Al-Hukm for National Day Tours
In celebration of Saudi National Day, the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) and the Emirate of Riyadh Province are opening the doors of Qasr Al-Hukm to the public through the “Tour of Qasr Al-Hukm” event, running from September 23 to 26, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The tour offers a rare opportunity to explore a landmark of exceptional historical significance: a palace that has witnessed more than two centuries of the Kingdom’s political, administrative, and cultural development, serving as the seat of government and a traditional meeting place for leaders and citizens.
Closely tied to defining moments in the history of the Saudi state, the palace’s legacy extends from the era of Imam Turki bin Abdullah Al Saud to the reign of the Founder, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, who resided there for nearly three decades.
Blending history with live experience, the tour features the “Salman and Riyadh” exhibition as one of its main highlights. Featuring more than 70 rare photographs, the exhibition documents the key role of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz in national governance, as well as his transformative impact on Riyadh’s development, which laid the foundations for the capital’s urban, cultural, and economic renaissance.
The tour also offers a unique look inside the palace’s corridors and wings, giving visitors access to key spaces, including the office of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the office of the Governor of Riyadh, the Grand Reception Hall and its adjoining majlis rooms, and the Main Dining Hall.
To enrich the visitor experience, the event includes dedicated photography areas, souvenirs, and an interactive signature wall where guests can share their reflections and wishes for the Kingdom, reflecting the enduring bond between the leadership and the citizens.
By opening this historic site to the public, RCRC and the Emirate of Riyadh Province are connecting the community with the capital’s rich heritage, deepening a deep sense of national pride, and honoring the visionary leaders who guided Riyadh’s development.
