Green Riyadh’s Three Major Park Projects Reach Over 85% Completion
The Green Riyadh Program, overseen by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC), is making progress on the construction of three major parks in the Al Qadisiyah, Al Rimal, and Al Munsiyah neighborhoods. With construction more than 85% complete, the projects are moving closer to delivering public parks with a range of sports and recreational facilities.
The parks feature a variety of amenities, including sports courts, fitness areas, water play zones, and cycling and skating tracks, offering residents of Riyadh diverse opportunities for recreation and physical activity.
Landscaping work across the three sites includes the planting of more than 585,000 trees and shrubs, along with groundcover plants. This extensive planting will enhance the parks’ natural surroundings and complement their integrated design.
The projects support Green Riyadh’s broader objectives of expanding green cover across the capital, reducing temperatures, and improving air quality.
