RCRC Launches Riyadh Meetings Initiative with Inaugural Urban Session

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) has launched the “Riyadh Meetings” initiative to serve as an interactive platform bringing together experts, specialists, and city partners to envision the capital’s future. On Tuesday, the initiative held its first session, titled “The Urban Landscape in Riyadh,” at the Qasr Al-Hukm Metro Station. The venue combines the historical symbolism of its location in the heart of Riyadh with its status as a prominent contemporary architectural landmark inspired by local design elements. This serves as a bridge connecting Riyadh’s heritage with its modern urban development.

The session was attended by a distinguished group of architects, urban planners, and investors. Participants discussed strategies to achieve the city’s continuous renewal and growth without compromising its unique identity. They emphasized that shaping the urban landscape is an integrated responsibility that encompasses land planning, regulations, transportation, public spaces, the environment, and the urban economy.
