RCRC: Construction of Al-Thumamah Road Bridge at Olaya Road Intersection Surpasses 50% Completion
Construction of the Al-Thumamah Road bridge at the Olaya Road intersection is advancing steadily, having recently surpassed 50% completion. A core component of the Al-Thumamah Road (Central Section) development plan, the project advances the efforts of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) to enhance road network efficiency and improve traffic flow along one of the capital’s most key corridors.

The scope of work encompasses the execution of concrete foundations and pillars, followed by the installation of the bridge’s main structural framework. By resolving traffic bottlenecks, these engineering upgrades ensure uninterrupted movement along Al-Thumamah Road, significantly elevating the corridor’s overall operational efficiency.
Featuring three primary lanes in each direction, the bridge expands structural capacity, allowing the corridor to seamlessly accommodate approximately 200,000 vehicles daily.
