RCRC: Construction of Three Bridges as Part of Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Al Awwal Road–Northern Ring Road Interchange Development Project
The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) continues the implementation of the Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Al Awwal Road Development Project (Northern Section), with construction now underway at its intersection with the Northern Ring Road. The current phase includes the construction of three bridges, marking a further milestone in the project’s progress to enhance the capacity and operational efficiency of one of the key transportation corridors serving northern Riyadh.
RCRC clarified that the ongoing works will increase the road’s capacity to accommodate more than 200,000 vehicles per day. This will strengthen connectivity between key routes across northern Riyadh, positively impacting traffic flow, reducing travel times, and providing a smoother travel experience.
Spanning more than 3 kilometers, the currently implemented section of the Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Al Awwal Road development project at its intersection with the Northern Ring Road includes the development of road lanes, along with the implementation of advanced solutions to improve the travel experience and enhance the overall efficiency of Riyadh’s road network.
The project reflects RCRC’s ongoing commitment to addressing traffic congestion, strengthening connectivity between major transportation corridors and key destinations, and supporting Riyadh’s rapid urban and population growth through sustainable infrastructure development.

This project is part of the Main and Ring Road Axes Development Program, which encompasses the development and enhancement of more than 500 kilometers of roadway. Through upgrading existing corridors, constructing new road links, and improving network integration, the program will deliver a more connected and efficient urban mobility system while advancing Riyadh’s quality-of-life targets.
