The Royal Commission for Riyadh City, through its Riyadh Art program, presented a creative model for expanding the concept of interaction with public art through a distinctive artistic experience that enables the perception of light through sensory mediums that go beyond traditional vision, via an artistic journey undertaken by visually impaired musician Majdi bin Marwan.

Moving through Noor Riyadh artworks, he used auditory and tactile perception — sound, vibration, spatial awareness, temperature — to compose music reflecting the essence of each artwork.

The experience became “Maazoufat Al-Nour,” developed with MassiveMusic, featuring compositions inspired by Noor Riyadh 2025 artworks by Chinese artist Zhang Zengzeng and Japanese artist Shinji Ohmaki.

These compositions were made available on digital platforms, widening access to the artistic experience and enabling diverse audiences to engage with art in innovative ways. The extension of these works beyond their original locations has strengthened their presence within daily life, reflecting the evolving concept of public art engagement.
