RCRC and Riyadh Emirate Host Al-Hukm Palace Tour to Celebrate National Day

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) and the Emirate of Riyadh Province will host the “Tour of Qasr Al-Hukm” on September 22–23, marking the 95th Saudi National Day. The event celebrates the deep-rooted heritage and national significance of Qasr Al-Hukm, a landmark that has borne witness to more than two centuries of the Saudi state’s political and cultural evolution. Once the seat of governance and a gathering place for citizens and leaders, the palace’s legacy runs from the era of Imam Turki bin Abdullah Al Saud through the reign of the Kingdom’s Founder, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, who made it his residence for nearly three decades.

Among the tour’s highlights is the “Salman and Riyadh” exhibition, featuring more than 70 rare photographs that trace the pivotal role of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, in the Kingdom’s governance and administration. The exhibition also chronicles his lasting impact on Riyadh’s development, laying the groundwork for the city’s urban, cultural, and economic renaissance.

Visitors will get a chance to walk through the palace’s corridors and wings, with access to spaces that include an office once used by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, an office for the Governor of Riyadh Province, a grand reception hall with adjoining majlises, and a main dining hall — spaces where the authenticity of the past meets the vitality of the present. Dedicated photo areas have also been set up so visitors can capture their experience within these historic halls.

The event reflects the shared commitment of RCRC and the Emirate of Riyadh Province to deepen public awareness of the capital’s history and foster a lasting sense of national pride, honoring the visionary leaders who shaped Riyadh’s enduring rise.
