Riyadh Metro celebrates its 100 millionth passenger

Riyadh Metro, operated by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, has welcomed its 100 millionth passenger in less than nine months since the project’s launch in early December 2024.
Since the start of its operations, the Blue Line, running along the Olaya Road axis, has been the busiest, serving approximately 46.5 million passengers, followed by the Red Line along King Abdullah Road with 17 million passengers, and the Orange Line along the Madinah Road axis with 12 million passengers. Riyadh Metro has consistently maintained an outstanding punctuality rate of 99.78 percent.
The stations at Qasr Al Hokm, KAFD, STC and National Museum recorded the highest passenger volume, accounting for 29 percent of total Riyadh Metro users, as they serve as key transfer points between multiple lines.
Riyadh Metro services are fully integrated with a comprehensive network, that includes Riyadh Bus and Bus-on-Demand, alongside Park & Ride facilities, offering passengers a seamless journey from home to destination.
Riyadh Public Transport’s integrated system enhances mobility across the city and provides diverse options to meet the needs of both residents and visitors, reinforcing the role of public transport as a modern, sustainable and urban choice.
