The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) announced the commencement of the field data collection phase as part of the Riyadh Household Demographic Survey program. Running from March 30 to May 10, this phase underscores RCRC’s ongoing commitment to maintaining up-to-date urban databases and enhancing the accuracy of demographic indicators that support the city’s planning efforts.

The survey monitors and provides an in-depth analysis of Riyadh’s population, covering demographic, social, educational, and economic dimensions. It also identifies housing characteristics, living conditions, mobility patterns, and quality-of-life indicators, aiming to build a comprehensive database that reflects the current population landscape using validated statistical approaches.

The survey covers more than 217 neighborhoods within Riyadh’s Development Protection Boundaries, ensuring comprehensive coverage and accurate statistical representation. This supports RCRC’s ability to prioritize public services and projects based on reliable, data-driven insights. The survey is implemented using a scientifically representative sample, eliminating the need to visit all households or neighborhoods while still ensuring an accurate representation of the city’s demographic reality.

The data collection phase is conducted through field visits based on in-person interviews, leveraging an integrated digital system for data acquisition, processing, and analysis. This process will ultimately yield critical planning indicators that help inform data-driven urban planning and optimize the distribution of public services across the city.

RCRC emphasized that all data collected during this phase will be used exclusively for statistical and planning purposes. The data is subject to approved regulations that guarantee privacy and information confidentiality, including anonymization, ensuring it will not be used for any individual purposes.

RCRC urged households in the targeted neighborhoods to cooperate during the survey period, noting that the accuracy of the information provided and the quality of responses directly contribute to enhancing the reliability of demographic indicators. This, in turn, supports decision-making related to service development and the overall improvement of quality of life in Riyadh.
