A delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by H.E. Dr Zoyir Mirzayev, Governor of the Tashkent Region, visited the headquarters of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC). The delegation was received by H.E. Eng. Tariq bin Abdulaziz Al-Faris, Head of the Riyadh Transport Development Office, alongside a number of RCRC officials.

During the visit, the delegation received a briefing on RCRC’s mandate and its key role in guiding and overseeing Riyadh’s development. The presentation also highlighted a selection of strategic projects and initiatives aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, reflecting national priorities in economic diversification, technological advancement, and sustainability.

The session highlighted Riyadh’s Public Transport Project, Riyadh Metro and Riyadh Bus, one of the world’s largest public transport infrastructure programs. Designed to deliver an integrated and sustainable network, it aims to ease congestion and improve day-to-day mobility for residents and visitors. The briefing also showcased Green Riyadh, one of the world’s largest urban greening initiatives, highlighting the capital’s approach to balancing urban growth with environmental stewardship.

The presentation concluded with an overview of ongoing preparations to host Riyadh Expo 2030, which is expected to bring together 197 countries and 29 organizations, and will serve as a global platform for exchanging ideas and developing practical solutions to shared challenges.
