Noor Riyadh Festival Concludes Fifth Edition with Millions of Visitors and 12 International Awards
Noor Riyadh 2025 Festival, one of the Riyadh Art programs overseen by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, concluded its fifth edition after drawing more than seven million visitors and showcasing 60 artworks by 59 local and international artists from 24 countries.
This year’s edition was held under the theme In the Blink of an Eye, with visitors viewing light artworks across six main sites in Riyadh: Al-Hukm Palace District, King Abdulaziz Historical Center, stc Metro Station, King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) Station, Al Faisaliah Tower, and JAX District in Diriyah.

The edition recorded notable international achievements, with Noor Riyadh receiving 12 global cultural awards, including the LIT Lighting Design Awards, the MUSE Design Awards, the New York Architecture Design Awards, and the TITAN Awards.
The festival also secured four Guinness World Records: the largest moving water artwork, the largest illuminated emoji, the largest AI-processed projection mapping on a building, and the largest 3D-printed mural artwork.
Executive Vice President of the Lifestyle Sector at the Royal Commission for Riyadh City Eng. Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Hazani said that Noor Riyadh 2025 demonstrated the role of art in enhancing the urban environment and enriching the city experience through movement and light. He noted that the program continues its efforts to reinforce Riyadh’s position as a global cultural destination.
The festival featured an expanded community-engagement program that drew tens of thousands of participants, along with workshops, panel discussions, family activities, and guided tours that enriched the artistic and cultural experience for visitors.
As the world’s largest light-art festival, Noor Riyadh reflects the Riyadh Art program’s vision of transforming the capital into an open-air gallery that brings public art into daily life. The program continues to advance the creative landscape through initiatives, including Tuwaiq Sculpture 2026—set to launch early next year as an international platform that brings together sculptors from Saudi Arabia and abroad—contributing to strengthening Riyadh’s standing as a leading arts center.
The program is also installing permanent artworks across neighborhoods and landmarks in Riyadh, enhancing the presence of art in public spaces and making it an integral part of the city’s daily experience.
