HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar chairs ADA’s third meeting of 1439H

On June 03, 2018, HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, chairman of the Council of Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA), chaired ADA’s third meeting of 1439H.
HRH, ADA Chairman, raised thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and HRH Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers, Defense Minister, and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, for the recent Cabinet’s approval of the “Regulation on the Provinces and Cities Development Authorities”.
The meeting, HRH added, discussed many topics that concern the residents of Riyadh, took the appropriate decisions thereon, and officially gave the green light for the commencement of major private projects across the city.
Riyadh among the WCCD’s “local 2030 data hubs”
HE CEO of Arriyadh Development Authority, Engr. Tariq Bin Abdulaziz Al-Faris, referred that Riyadh was one of eight cities selected by the World Council of Cities Data (WCCD) to be the “local 2030 data hubs”, which culminates the city’s achievements in this field, shortly after winning the WCCD ISO 37120 golden certification.


In a related context, the meeting agreed to launch the “Riyadh Geoinformatics Portal“, a platform that provides accurate and up-to-date information and studies on the Riyadh province and city, including:
- High-definition space and aerial imagery
- Land use maps
- Real-time data on air quality, valley water levels and traffic
- Advanced spatial analysis tools
Approval of the Comprehensive Plan for Wadi Al-Sulay



The meeting also approved the Comprehensive Plan for Wadi Al-Sulay, which aims to enhance the valley’s environmental, urban and recreational potentials and protect its course and tributaries as a natural area subject to special environmental regulations.
The plan will rehabilitate the valley’s course to allow its 2400-km2 natural drainage basin to accommodate the permanent and seasonal waters.
