Hydrological Study of Wadi Al-Sulaiy in the Riyadh Province
The study reveals the location of Wadi Al-Sulay, its extension, and the characteristics of the water system of its basin, as well as the artificial channels of the valley and its neighboring areas that are at risk of torrential rain. It is considered an integrated scientific document on the main geomorphological and hydrological components of Wadi Al-Sulay, which is of great importance because it is based on hydrological evidence and was accomplished using approved analysis methods in addition to space technologies and geoinformation and geomatic systems to achieve the following:
- Determination of the precise hydrological system of the Wadi Sulay basin.
- Producing a digital elevation model of the basin with the conclusion of the connection and discontinuity of the valley’s tributaries with the rest of the valleys.
- Calculating the morphometric formulas of the valleys and geometrics of the basins and their relationship to floods and torrents.
- Determine the main path of the valley.
