The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) participated in the Saudi-French Business Forum, held in Riyadh from November 23–25, 2025, under the theme “From Expo 2030 to World Cup 2034.” The event was attended by H.E. Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce, and H.E. Nicolas Forissier, France’s Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness, and brought together 230 private-sector companies from both countries at the Crowne Plaza Riyadh – Digital City.

In his remarks, H.E. Engr. Tariq bin Abdulaziz Al-Faris, Head of the Riyadh Transport Development Office, outlined the capital’s ongoing development programs, investment prospects, and preparations for major upcoming global events, including Riyadh Expo 2030 and the 2034 World Cup. He underscored Riyadh’s growing stature as a prime destination for high-profile international forums and investments, supported by its modern, world-class infrastructure. He also met with the French Minister of Commerce to discuss ways to deepen bilateral cooperation and expand partnerships between the RCRC and its French counterparts.

The RCRC delegation took part in a series of workshops held on the sidelines of the forum, addressing key sectors such as culture, event and sports management, architecture, infrastructure, and urban mobility. Topics also included smart-city development and cutting-edge technology applications for security, water and waste management, and AI.
