RCRC Launched Riyadh Household Demographic Survey

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC), in collaboration with the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT), has launched the Riyadh Household Demographic Survey to address the city’s dynamic population growth and accelerating development across all sectors. This project underscores RCRC’s ongoing commitment to maintaining up-to-date, data-driven insights and indicators through comprehensive demographic studies and surveys.
The survey seeks to provide an in-depth analysis of Riyadh’s population, covering demographic, social, educational, and economic dimensions. It will further identify housing characteristics, migration trends and factors, and patterns of internal mobility, employing validated statistical approaches to generate a detailed and reliable understanding of the city’s population landscape.
The project follows a multi-phase approach, beginning with the collection and analysis of field data leveraging advanced digital data acquisition and analytical tools. The final phase will integrate and synthesize critical demographic indicators to inform data-driven urban planning, optimize the public services, and enhance the overall quality of life for Riyadh’s residents.
The survey will cover all 217+ neighborhoods within Riyadh’s Development Protection Boundaries, covering a total area of 5,960 km².
The project is part of RCRC’s efforts to monitor population trends in Riyadh to provide updated data that inform city-wide planning and policy-making in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
